Reflections on Belonging: Self-Guided School Programs
Reflections on Belonging invites students to explore today’s most pressing societal issues through powerful storytelling, immersive art, and interactive experiences. Developed by Vernon and District Immigrant and Community Services Society with support from the Government of Canada's Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program, this exhibition encourages active participation and self-reflection, inspiring youth to envision a just and equitable future. The educator’s resource for self-directed school visits, designed for grades 8–12, aligns with British Columbia’s curriculum and the BC Anti-Racism K-12 Action Plan. It offers a structured yet flexible guide that delves into the themes of identity, community, and belonging. The exhibit visit is completely self-guided, allowing teachers and their aides to customise the experience to meet their students' needs and current learning objectives.
