The Local Immigration Partnership Counsil (LIPC) invites you to their upcoming Welcome Week Film Series, an event dedicated to celebrating immigrant talent and stories. Resource Fair from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm. Documentary screening will begin at 6:30 pm followed by a Q&A (question and answer) segment.

About the event
The Local Immigration Partnership Counsil (LIPC) is thrilled to invite you to their upcoming Welcome Week Film Series, an event dedicated to celebrating immigrant talent and stories. This exciting event will start with a small resource fair providing participants the opportunity to engage intimately with local non-profit agencies in Vernon. They will then feature two compelling documentaries directed by local immigrants, offering unique perspectives and celebrating their experience. Film 1 will focus on the complex history of Canada, including the racism and colonial aspects, and its lasting impacts. Film 2 will focus on mental health and intergenerational trauma and was recently the recipient of an award!
Time: Resource Fair from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Documentary screening will begin at 6:30 pm followed by a Q&A (question and answer) segment with the documentary directors, Raj & Ziyba
Cost:Â FREE or by donation to VDICSS's emergency funds for immigrant and newcomer families
Early registration is open exclusively for RNIP, PnP, and VDICSS participants. Please register before August 22 to ensure your spot as we only have 60 spots available and tickets are on a first come first serve basis.
