This 7-week pilot program provides a welcoming and supportive space for Indigenous, Black, People of Colour (IBPOC) community members age 18+ in Vernon and surrounding areas to connect, share experiences, and explore topics such as family, self-care, and empathy.

About the event
The IBPOC Peer Support Group is a 7-week pilot program hosted by Vernon and District Immigrant and Community Services Society (VDICSS). This initiative provides a welcoming and supportive space for Indigenous, Black, People of Colour (IBPOC) community members in Vernon and surrounding areas to connect, share experiences, and explore topics such as family, self-care, and empathy. Through open discussions and occasional prompts, participants can reflect, learn, and build solidarity with peers. Feedback from this pilot program will help highlight the need for ongoing support of this kind within the community and guide its future development.
After you register, you will be contacted to participate in one of the two intake groups.
Group 1 - Tuesday, January 21st, 6:00-6:45pm
Group 2 - Wednesday, January 22nd, 6:00-6:45pm
Participating in one of the intake groups is mandatory in order to attend the IBPOC Peer Support Group.
