This collaborative Orange Shirt was created by Faith Yow, an Indigenous artist from the Okanagan Indian Band. Her design features the Four Food Chiefs, the Medicine Wheel, and the principle of equality among all people. It was created to bring people together, inspire reflection, and honor the enduring connection that Syilx Peoples have to their land, a relationship that has existed since time immemorial.

The design also supports the Indigenous Learning Tour, a self-guided educational experience designed to help our community learn about Indigenous cultures, understand the true history of Canada, and engage meaningfully in the work of Truth and Reconciliation.
