In Canada, systemic barriers marginalize countless individuals based on their identity. These barriers have silenced voices and perpetuated cycles of oppression for far too long. From September 2023 to March 2024, North Okanagan residents participated in arts-centered workshops, funded by the Government of Canada, to share their personal stories of discrimination. This publication highlights their resilience and strength, serving as a testament to their lived experiences. It offers vital recommendations to dismantle these oppressive structures and build a community where everyone can truly belong and thrive.
