As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve and due to the Provincial Health Officer's recently updated directives dated January 7, 2021, Vernon & District Immigrant and Community Services is only available to clients virtually, until July 5, 2021. Since 1989, VDICSS has offered many services for newcomers, immigrants, refugees, and naturalized citizens, helping with settlement and integration into Canada and Vernon, British Columbia.

 

Services

Settlement Services

Our Settlement Workers can help guide and support individuals and families as they make adjustments to life in Canada. From finding information about housing, schooling and the general Vernon community, we are here to help.

Language Services

Vernon & District Immigrant Services Society provides free English language training through the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program.

Job Interview

Employment Services

In partnership with WorkBC Centre Vernon, we support and deliver WorkBC One-to-One Employment Services to clients.

Community Connections

The Community Connections Program encourages social, cultural and professional interactions between newcomers and the established community. It assists immigrants and newcomers to become engaged and feel at home in the Vernon area.

TFW Outreach Support

Supporting the North Okanagan’s migrant and temporary foreign workers and employers.
