About the event
What better way to start your Saturday than a hike with a beautiful view?
We will be hiking Rattlesnake Point Trail and will meet at the trailhead in the second parking lot. On our hike we will learn about the native plants we encounter and their traditional uses by Indigenous people. We will be focusing on mindfulness as we walk through nature. What do you see, hear, and smell?
Although not necessary, we encourage you to download the app "Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab". We will likely hear many different kinds of birds on the hike, and this app lets you identify them by their sound. You may also want to download the app "PictureThis - Plant Identifier" - it's great for identifying plants and learning more about them.
The hike is beginner friendly, but could be a little challenging near the top. Please wear appropriate shoes, dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.
See you there!
