Family Pumpkin Carving

There were plenty of smiles at Saturday's Family Pumpkin Carving event, and not just on the pumpkins! Newcomers and other community members joined us in the back parking lot of VDICSS for some festive fun.

Some folks carved jack-0-lanterns for the first time, while others used their carving expertise to show others the ropes. In the end all 50 pumpkins were transformed into a sea of orange faces, no two alike.

Glow sticks and Halloween safety sheets were handed out to ensure a safe and fun night of trick-or-treating.

Thanks to Anetha Kashuba and Daniel Vallejo for picking the prettiest pumpkins in the patch!

We can't wait to see all these beautiful and spooky jack-o-lanterns glowing on the doorsteps of our community.

Happy Halloween!
